Stand-alone ECU for the Coyote Engine
The EM180 is a Complete Standalone ECU for the Ford 5.0 Liter Coyote Engine. This Engine Management System gives full control of the Coyote’s TI-VCT quad variable cam timing, Drive-by-Wire (DBW) system and both O2 sensors as well as full sequential ignition and injection timing.

The SCRA in now moving to the latest field of race cars and again asked EMS to design the new controlled ECU. This time the ECUs will be from the EMS EM-Tech range. The race teams will have a choice of either the EM80 or EM160.

These are the elite of the EMS range designed to eliminate what many people call “Box Hell”. We tried to reduce the number of boxes required to run an engine down to one or two. This was achieved by including many peripheral devices such as O2 controllers, Throttle Controllers, Knock Sensor Amplifiers and G-Sensors all in the one ECU as well as allowing for 8 ignition drivers and 16 low impedance injector drivers.
As an example, if you need to run 16 staged injectors, 2 O2 sensors, 8 ignitions and DBW throttle plus all of the auxiliary inputs and outputs for boost control, NOS control, Trans brake, Fuel pressure, Oil pressure, Etc. You could buy an ECU plus an Expander box plus 2 O2 sensor controller boxes or use just one EMS EM180 electronic fuel injection system.
