The IDI350 is designed for engines that that run for a short duration such as in drag racing. These units are designed to burn methanol or ethanol fuels. These fuels combined with very high boost levels make them very difficult to ignite. A very high energy, very hot spark is required to ignite these fuels. The IDI350 will provide a constant 35 amps at 16 volts to each ignition channel. Depending the coils being used and dwell setting this unit can provide 620 milli joules of energy.  

This ignition system will deliver a constant supply voltage of 16 volts to each coil while battery voltage drops to 11 volts.

The IDI250 is designed mainly for circuit cars. The engines in these cars will normally run at higher RPM and operate at higher stress levels than street/track cars. Many of these engines use un-blended plant based fuels such as ethanol. Ethanol ignition requires more energy than fossil base fuels and the IDI250 is designed to provide this energy at a higher Hertz than the IDI175.

This ignition system will deliver a constant supply voltage of 16 volts to each coil while battery voltage drops to 11 volts.

IDI175

The IDI175 is designed for performance street/track cars. This unit provides enough energy to ensure a clean fuel burn for boosted engines that use ethanol blended fuels. They are designed for everyday use without overloading the battery and alternator. This is achieved by limiting the current draw to 17.5 amps.

This ignition system will deliver a constant supply voltage of 16 volts to each coil while battery voltage drops to 11 volts.
