Version Upgrade compatibility

 

Stinger 1 with serial no. ST1xxxxx/I - have built in igniters.

Stinger 1 with serial no. ST1xxxxx - have no built in igniters.

Stinger 1 ecu means it is a Stinger 1 pcb which can only be a version 1, not upgradeable to anything else (ver. 2,3 or 4)

 

Stinger 2 with serial no. ST2xxxxx/I or ST2xxxxx/IG - have built in igniters.

Stinger 2 with serial no. ST2xxxxx - have no built in igniters.

Stinger 2 ecu means it is a Stinger 2 pcb which can only be a version 2, not upgradeable to anything else (ver. 3 or 4)

 

Stinger 3 with serial no. ST3xxxxx/I or ST3xxxxx/IG - have built in  igniters.

Stinger 3 with serial no. ST3xxxxx - no built in igniters.

Stinger 3 ecu means it is a Stinger 3 pcb which can only be a version 3, not upgradeable to ver.  4

The ST1, ST2 and ST3 features are; -

 22  psi  (150 kpa) Boost

 2 auxiliary outputs

 4 ignition, 4 injector outputs.

1 auxiliary input

 Missing tooth (ST3 only)

Stinger  Version 3 tuning software must be used in conjunction with the above units.

 

Stinger 4 with serial no. ST40xxxx - ST43xxxx is a version 4 pcb with version 3 firmware which must use the  version 3 tuning software but is upgradeable to version 4 firmware  (F.O.C.) at a cost of freight only and once it has been upgraded must use the version 4 tuning software and may require re-tuning.

The ST44xxxx onwards features are; -

30 psi  ( 200 kpa) Boost

 moveable load points (real time user definable)

 no built in igniters (all external)

 4 auxiliary outputs

 LC-1 Innovate Oxygen sensor (Bosch 5 wire )

 Bosch 4 wire compatible

 tune analyzer 

 closed loop Lambda

 closed loop PWM idle control

 and many more features 

Please note that all Motorsport Series ECUs are compatible with all software versions and are upgradeable to the latest firmware (F.O.C.) at a cost of freight only and once it has been upgraded must use the latest software and may require re-wiring of ignition outputs.
